Pitt County Memorial Hospital offers flexible scheduling for parents and works with employees who are experiencing unusual life events such as the illness of a parent or child.


Other employee programs that benefit nurses include a free pregnancy education course; parenting courses through InSight, the employee assistance program; special exercise classes for pregnant women and new moms; and case management services for employees with chronic conditions such as diabetes or obesity.

On-Site Day Care


A Child’s Place is a state-of-the-art child care facility located on the campus of PCMH. This facility offers full- and part-time day care for children of PCMH employees. The day care facility is open extended hours to accommodate evening shifts and provides after school pickup. This service is extremely popular with our employees, and waiting lists are in effect for most age groups.


Other after-school and summer programs for children are available through our ViQuest Center. These programs stress healthy activities as well as education about nutrition and other lifestyle issues. Special programs at ViQuest provide services for children who are overweight. The Center also offers swimming lessons.

ViQuest Clinic


Got a bad cold? A sprained ankle? An upset stomach? PCMH makes it easy to take care of minor medical problems. The ViQuest Employee Clinic is an on-site health service for PCMH employees and their dependents 16 years and older who are covered by the University Health Systems medical plan. The clinic is staffed by a nurse practitioner under the direction of a physician. The clinic:.
